Biography
Angelica Gonzalez-Blanco is a renowned Immigration Practitioner in Canada with over 25 years of experience in the field of immigration, dedicated to defending the rights of individuals and families with efficiency, integrity, and commitment. She is the author of the Amazon bestseller Don’t Lose Your Freedom by Immigrating to Canada and one of the most influential voices in the Latino community on immigration issues.
She graduated from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia, and later specialized in Canadian immigration law. She recently completed her studies at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, where she earned a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, furthering her expertise in professional and immigration law at the international level.
Angelica is an active member of the Law Society of Ontario and the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) and is fully licensed and authorized to practice immigration law in Canada.
Throughout her career, she has worked at prestigious law firms including, McKenzie Lake Lawyers, Surka Spina Cugliari (formerly Skurka & Spina Barristers and Solicitors), and Cisternas-Bartolomeo-González Barristers and Solicitors, where she was a partner until 2012. Driven by her dedication to service and commitment to the immigrant community, she founded Angélica González-Blanco Legal Offices, a firm that has successfully assisted hundreds of clients with their immigration processes both within and outside Canada.
She has extensive experience representing clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), with a particular focus on permanent residence cases, including those based on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, many of which have been recognized by the Latino community and various specialized media outlets.
