At this present Moment, there is a pilot program design for the Atlantic region that looks to stimulate the immigration to that region facilitating the requirements in the level of English and opening the possibilities to employers to provide job offer to those who qualify. The pilot program looks to hire a foreign skilled worker or international student graduate to fill labour gaps in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, or Newfoundland and Labrador.
Businesses is these provinces can offer jobs to eligible non-Canadians. With a job offer, you can apply for permanent residence in Canada through one of three programs:

  1. high-skilled workers
  2. intermediate-skilled workers
  3. international graduates

Each program has its own requirements
To apply for permanent residence through the Pilot you must:

  • Get a job offer
  • Meet eligibility requirements
  • Get a needs assessment and settlement plan
  • Get endorsed by an Atlantic province
  • Apply for permanent residence
  • When you are approved, you can start working. If there is an urgent need for you to work, you can apply for a Temporary Work Permit.
